Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our health and safety protocols within Heathrow Airport and construction sites in and around London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations from our clients and internal policies, promoting a safe working environment, and fostering a culture of safety awareness among all employees.
This role requires attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and across all levels of our organisation.
Duties
1. Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements.
2. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
3. Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
4. Prepare detailed reports on health and safety performance, including recommendations for improvements.
5. Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices, including first aid procedures.
6. Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations through regular audits and inspections.
7. Collaborate with management to promote a proactive approach to workplace safety.
8. Stay updated on industry trends, legislation changes, and best practices in health and safety management.
9. Work Airside within Heathrow Airport (DBS Checks Required with 5 Years work History).
Requirements
1. Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the civils industry.
2. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
3. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly.
4. Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and implementing effective control measures.
5. First aid certification is highly desirable.
6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating leadership qualities.
7. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail.
8. Ability to work within a 24 / 7 reactive business.
9. A good understanding of transport management FORES Ect.
10. Maintain all company ISO and certifications updates.
11. Promote and support environmental compliance.
