To support this, w e’re investing in our Finance function - including the creation of a new role : Strategic Finance Change Lead. What you’ll be doing: As Strategic Finance Change Lead you'll be responsible for leading and delivering a portfolio of strategic change initiatives across the Finance function. This role aims to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance of the Finance team by driving process improvements, implementing technology solutions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement: Strategic Change Portfolio Management: Define and manage the portfolio of Finance transformation and change projects, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives. Maintain a robust governance framework to track project progress, risks, and outcomes. Process Improvement and Efficiency Gains: Identify inefficiencies in existing Finance processes and develop initiatives to streamline workflows. Monitor the impact of improvements on productivity, accuracy, and cost reduction. Technology and Systems Implementation: Working with IT and external vendors to drive the selection, implementation, and optimisation of Finance systems, including ERP and reporting tools. Ensure data quality, integration, and security within Finance systems. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor to senior Finance leaders, providing insights and recommendations for strategic initiatives. Collaborate across departments, including IT, HR, and operations, to align change initiatives with broader organisational goals. Leadership and Team Development: Build, lead and mentor a team of analysts, and change agents to deliver the portfolio of projects. Build capability within the Finance function to embrace change and adopt continuous improvement Performance Measurement and Reporting: Define KPIs and success metrics for Finance transformation projects. Provide regular updates to the CFO, Finance leadership team, and other stakeholders on the status and impact of initiatives. Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and identify further opportunities for improvement. Delivery of Finance transformation projects on time, within scope, and on budget. Documented and implemented improved processes, systems, and workflows. Measurable efficiency gains, cost savings, and enhanced Finance capabilities. Clear and actionable reports on project performance and outcomes. What we’re looking for: Proven track record of managing large-scale Finance transformation or change programmes. Strong understanding of Finance processes, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience in implementing Finance technologies, such as ERP systems, automation tools, and analytics platforms. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and design practical solutions. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira). Accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA) is desirable.
