Due to a gap in staffing, a reputable Burnley Primary School is looking to source an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. The role will commence after the Easter holidays and the successful applicant should have experience working within the education sector and should be confident in supporting children with varying additional needs. As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you would provide additional aid in lessons while also working to ensure that pupils can develop their independence and confidence. The school is looking to employ someone with SEN experience; experience working with ASD may be advantageous, but this is not a necessity.
The Primary School is situated in the centre of Burnley and is two-form entry. The school has a supportive and long-standing SLT who encourage staff to undertake a variety of CPD courses throughout the academic year. To be considered for the role, you must be passionate about the wellbeing and safety of children. Working with children with SEN is very challenging but also very rewarding; this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to develop their career in the sector.
