It is an innovative and creative company within the IT industry. They operate globally and have an opportunity within their Derry City office for a HR Officer to join their team. This is a newly created position within the company and is an office-based role.
Your new role
As HR Officer, you will support the smooth operation of the HR function within the company. You will be responsible for a wide range of duties and help manage day-to-day HR administration tasks as part of the Talent (People & Culture) team. You will show drive and commitment to deliver consistent results working alongside the HRBP's and Global Talent Director. As a highly discreet individual, you will understand the importance of handling sensitive data and ensure confidentiality and data quality is completely maintained.
As HR Officer, you will be a first point of contact for HR queries and have a strong knowledge of HR policy. You will support the HRBP's and Global Talent Director in an administrative capacity, to ensure the smooth running of the HR team. You will coordinate the onboarding experience for new hires. Support the Finance team as needed with salary and new hire related queries. You will maintain HR systems and provide reports as needed. Support team members with HR systems as needed and various HR Projects.
What you'll need to succeed
As HR Officer, essentially, you will be able to demonstrate previous experience ideally within the software/digital or media industry. You will have strong technical ability in IT systems, ie: G-Suite or MS Office. Previous experience of handling sensitive data and ensuring confidentiality and data quality is 100% maintained. The ability to work in a fast-paced and remote start-up environment with a willingness to learn. You will be proactive and able to work on your own initiative with strong organisational and communication skills.
As HR Officer, you will be a confident communicator and passionate about working across disciplines and timezones to deliver work aligned to the company's goals. You will be able to effectively triage queries and escalate more serious issues to the HRBP's whilst having the ability to build strong relationships across the company. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle high-volume tasks to deadlines. You will be comfortable working on multiple tasks & projects. A creative problem solver, who finds ways to support team members and bring a positive focus to remove obstacles when possible.
