Workshop/Warehouse Operative
Full-time, permanent Monday to Friday
Salary up to £25,500, based on experience

Entel operates its own design and manufacturing divisions with distribution centres throughout the world.
We are seeking a Workshop/Warehouse Operative to join our busy Workshop and Warehouse team, inspecting and testing returned products, programming radios to customer specifications, providing technical product support and responding to customer queries. The job also involves general workshop duties and warehouse tasks, including picking and packing equipment based on order requests.
The role does not require you to have any specific qualifications or knowledge of telecommunications products as full training will be given. Important skills and knowledge that will help you succeed in the role include technical aptitude, good attention to detail, ability to complete repetitive tasks whilst retaining full concentration, excellent communication skills and the ability to follow set procedures whilst managing a busy workload with pressure to meet targets.
Key responsibilities:
Workshop
* Booking returns into the system
* Handling returns - faulty goods and credits
* Testing and examining faulty equipment and carry out reworks
* Testing and examining credit returns and grade their stock-worthiness
Radio programming
* Programming required channels and features into radios according to customer specifications
Customer Service
* Developing full product and technical knowledge to be able to respond to customer queries
* Using Knowledge Base to develop knowledge and provide technical support
* Providing best technical advice for the customer via email and phone
* Ensuring customer service, technical, repair or warranty issues are resolved appropriately via phone or email
Warehouse
* Picking products for orders
* Unloading and unpacking deliveries
* Airway bill labelling for courier collections
* Packing orders as per workload demands
Person specification
* Willingness to learn with a proactive approach
* Must be IT literate
* Able to learn the Epicor stock control system
* Must be able to confidently communicate with internal colleagues and external customers, both face-to-face, email and phone.
* Be able to build strong working relationships with colleagues in other teams
* To be able to work under pressure to changing deadlines.
* Self-motivated and organised with the ability to plan workload and keep track of multiple jobs.
* A meticulous and detail-oriented approach to ensure accurate work.
* A team player
* Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems.
