The role
Westminster Under School is looking for an exceptional Day Matron to help provide essential support and care to our pupils.
The Day Matron is an essential and indispensable figure at the school. They act as the first point of contact for pupils who are unwell or injured, take a proactive interest in the general health and wellbeing of all pupils, and are alert to those experiencing difficulties, offering a listening ear to those who need it. They play a key pastoral role within the School, providing a pivotal point of liaison for the welfare of individual pupils.
This is an exciting time to join the Under School, as we aim to become a co-educational school for children aged 4 to 13 from September 2026. The Day Matron will be instrumental to the success of this expansion, as they will provide care to a wider range of children and will work to support the changing needs of the School in this period.
The Day Matron will work from 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (term-time only), including INSET days and two preparation days at the start of the academic year.
