Job Summary: The Senior Design Engineer will play a critical role in the design, development, and optimization of centrifugal pumps. Ideally will possess extensive experience in the pump industry, with a proven track record of innovative solutions and successful project management. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: the design and development of new centrifugal pump products from concept to production, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications using CAD software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales, to ensure seamless integration of design solutions and to address any technical challenges. Perform design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to ensure robust and reliable pump designs. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in pump design and fluid dynamics. Support customer inquiries and provide technical expertise during the sales and after-sales process. Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for any field issues or product non-conformances. Support the testing and evaluation of pumps and associated equipment. Play an active role in the safety culture of the company ensuring the safety of yourself and the safety of others that could be affected by your acts or omissions at all times, Utilise Value Analyze and Value engineering techniques to identify opportunities for standardization and simplification. Collaborate with suppliers on the selection and procurement of bought-out equipment used in pumps.
