We are recruiting for an exciting role as a band 8a Occupational Therapy Clinical Lead for our mental health services.
The Occupational Therapy Clinical Lead for Mental Health Services will provide senior clinical leadership for all Occupational Therapists across inpatient and community mental health services across Berkshire. They will be an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist with significant clinical and leadership experience.
Experienced OTs will find a wealth of opportunities to further develop clinical and leadership skills with support from the Occupational Therapy professional lead for the organisation.
You’ll find a strong AHP leadership structure, OT forums, learning resources and excellent OT peer support across the Trust.
• The post holder will be accountable for the professional and clinical performance of Occupational Therapy staff within mental health services.
• Provide clinical leadership for all Occupational Therapists within the mental health directorate across multiple clinical teams/sites.
• Ensurestrategic development of the professionin accordance withlocal and national NHS guidance.
• Be actively involved in the development of clinical services within mental health
• Provideexpert level advice within the service on delivery ofhigh-qualityclinical careand developing practice to meet service user and carer’s needs and operational requirements

The “must haves” for this role:
• Qualification in Occupational Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Extensive experience of working as an Occupational Therapist within mental health services
• Leadership experience
