Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced System Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge projects within the Cyber and Information Assurance (IA) domain. As part of a dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of innovative, complex solutions for a diverse range of products. Your responsibilities will include leading the systems engineering aspects of IA development initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment across all technical disciplines to meet project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Take the lead in system engineering activities for multiple IA development projects.
* Manage the technical requirements of solutions, ensuring consistency and coherence across system design, hardware, software, FPGA, and mechanical components.
* Oversee the complete development lifecycle, from concept to verification, and work closely with teams to integrate technical solutions effectively.
* Support bid proposals by providing technical expertise and contributing to system-level designs and estimates.
* Partner with the Technical Project Manager to ensure project delivery aligns with agreed timelines, budgets, quality standards, and performance metrics.
* Engage in requirements engineering, helping to define and understand technical specifications for product solutions.
* Produce clear and concise technical documentation to communicate system designs, processes, and results.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements management, design, validation, and verification.
* Expertise in at least one technical discipline, with a broad understanding of other areas of system design.
* Proficiency in using DOORS for requirements management.
* Proven ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with system design languages such as UML or SysML.
* Familiarity with system design techniques like use case analysis and trade studies.
* Previous experience producing estimates for bid activities.
* Knowledge of mechanical and environmental qualification processes.
* Ability to handle complexity, uncertainty, and competing priorities with a structured approach.
* Demonstrable problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
* Strong system-level thinking and a keen eye for identifying issues and driving solutions.
