Grade 4: £27,838 - £30,679 per annum (including the Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 per annum)
Contract type: Fixed term for 18 months
Hours: Full time (36.5 hours)
About the role
We are looking for a Clinical Trials Assistant (CTA) to work in our Clinical Trials Unit (CTU). You will be based in The Botnar Research Centre but you will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.
You will assist trial teams to successfully deliver research studies to the highest standards by carrying out both administrative tasks and undertaking data entry and other data management activities. The post holder will work across two large, multi-centre neurosurgical trials currently recruiting in the UK and internationally, and will report to the Trial Manager.
About you
The successful candidate will be educated to A-Level or equivalent in a biomedical or associated numerical subject, or equivalent experience. Previous experience of handling medical, patient data or other personal data, preferably in an NHS, clinical or pharmaceutical company environment is essential. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in spoken/written English. The successful candidate must be proficient in word processing, document layout and data entry using MS Office, with a high attention to detail. A basic understanding of clinical and academic research in the UK would be beneficial.
This full-time post is available immediately and is fixed-term for 18 months.
