Job Overview:
We are seeking a JUNIOR Network Engineer to join our team and assist in the implementation and maintenance of our network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining NETWORK equipemtn physical and virtual. Additionally, the role involves setting up and configuring routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure the security and efficiency of our network.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure that the IT N/W, Fttp devices & systems or applications perform their intended functions correctly. This includes creating and executing test cases for all functionalities.
* IT network professionals design, set up and maintain computer networks, support the network users and fix problems which arise.
* TASKS implements and evaluates new networking environments, including software and hardware monitors performance and makes recommendations concerning network quality.
* Creates users' accounts and provides troubleshooting service to users ensures network security, reports on, investigates and fixes network faults writes operational documentation and provides subsequent support and training for users.
* Assist in the investigation of incidents reported by users or system monitoring tools, ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely manner.
* Working with point-to-point fibre network architecture. Experience of using QGIS, CAD or GIS software
* Planning & designing Telecoms FTTP (Fibre to the Premise) networks
Qualifications:
* Strong knowledge of networking concepts, telecom and protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
* Experience with configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls from vendors such as Cisco
* Familiarity with network security best practices and technologies.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.

Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
