Large Molecule Discovery (LMD) is dedicated to the discovery of novel and effective biopharmaceutical medicines. This department comprises several complementary functions focused on the progression of a portfolio of biopharmaceuticals from initial antibody discovery, expression and characterisation, to molecular engineering and biological and physiochemical profiling.
The Antibody Protein Sciences group in LMD takes accountability for the expression and characterisation of panels of antibody molecules from early Hit-Panels through to optimised engineered molecules for developability profiling prior to candidate selection. We have recently invested in automation to increase our capacity to meet increased demand and have now deployed these world-leading systems onto our drug discovery pipeline. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic, and self-motivated lab-based scientist to join us in creating the medicines of the future.
This role would suit an inquisitive scientist skilled in molecular biology. You will be involved in the use of novel automation solutions, so experience with and enthusiasm for the use of automation would be an advantage.
In this role you will:
1. Generate panels of transfection-grade plasmid DNA of pipeline and technology development
2. Contribute to the development of novel molecular biology processes, with responsibilities to deliver these packages of work
3. Design, perform and write up high quality scientific experiments in a timely manner
4. Influence scientific direction and execution of projects and discovery platforms in the group
Why you?
