The Role EHO (Graduate) – Pollution and Community Protection Team. The successful candidates will enjoy a range of duties, including investigating statutory nuisance and antisocial behaviour reactive work. consulting and investigating entertainment licensing ‘prevention of nuisance licensing’ objectives. Investigating a wide range of public health issues including prevention of pests, accumulations, private drainage issues, Public Health Funerals etc. Also assist with environmental permit low risk premises inspection programme. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, team player who is customer focused with good organisational and problem solving skills with an interest in and knowledge of the topics involved. The role will involve working closely with colleagues, business proprietors and elected members and so will require excellent customer service and communication skills. The successful candidates will possess a relevant qualification in Environmental Health to degree standard or equivalent, have or be working towards EHRB certificate of registration or equivalent. We would also be willing to consider applications from final year Environmental Health students or those requiring practical experience. The successful candidate, if a Graduate, will be encourage and supported to achieve their professional qualification with the ultimate aim of becoming a CIEH registered Environmental Health Practitioner.
