Private Rented Sector Licensing Team Leader - Compliance Permanent Grade 5 - £40,221- £48,474 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity review Working 36.5 hours per week We are continuing to develop a new service to regulate the private rented sector within areas of Birmingham and are looking for committed, enthusiastic and dynamic leaders like you, who can provide a best-in-class service in this new arena. The service is to be the largest in the country, fitting for the second City and largest metropolitan Local Authority. Our Private Rented Sector Licensing Service receives, processes and issues licenses from private rented sector landlords, ensure compliance and take enforcement action for unlicensed privately rented properties in Birmingham. You will be responsible for leading a team of compliance officers undertaking housing standards inspections under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System and associated enforcement action for non-compliance. You will be operational in these duties. You will have good knowledge of the Housing Act and possess general enforcement experience. You will also have experience of maximising the use of resources and delivering value for money.
