We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher for a fantastic secondary school in Handsworth, Birmingham. This is a full-time position that will run from April 2025 through to the end of the academic year, offering you the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' academic journeys. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students, in line with the national curriculum. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported in their learning. Use a range of teaching methods to ensure all students progress, catering for various abilities and learning styles. Set clear learning objectives and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students to support their development. Prepare students for GCSE English exams, ensuring they meet their full potential. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in the school's professional development programme to continue improving teaching practice. Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, supporting student welfare and academic achievement. Contribute to the wider school community, promoting school values and extra-curricular activities that support students' development. What We Are Looking For: A qualified English Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 English, with a strong understanding of the GCSE English curriculum. A genuine passion for fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students. A commitment to the school's ethos of hard work, inclusion, and positive attitudes. Strong communication and collaborative skills to work within a team.
