One of my clients, a reputable care organisation across the South of England, are looking for an experienced Nursing Home Manager to take ownership of their 90 bed nursing and residential home in Hackney, London. As the Nursing Home Manager, you will oversee the day to day running of this fantastic service with the support of a clinical Deputy Manager. You will oversee the business development, quality, compliance and staff management.
Nursing Home Manager Responsibilities:
Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the nursing home staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Clinical Oversight: Oversee the delivery of high-quality care to residents, ensuring that their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those related to healthcare and safety.
Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage nursing home staff, including nurses, caregivers, and support personnel.
Budget Management: Manage the nursing home's budget effectively, including financial planning and resource allocation.
Quality Improvement: Implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and satisfaction.
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with residents, their families, and the healthcare team.
Admissions and Discharges: Oversee the admission and discharge process, ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
Looking for a passionate and experienced Nursing Home Manager who has a background in elderly / dementia care, a valid NMC PIN or background in nursing home management and experience in managing an 80+ bed service. Along with;
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or background in nursing home management
Proven experience in healthcare management, preferably in a nursing home
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Compassion and dedication to providing quality care to the elderly.
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive work environment.
