Are you looking to join a dynamic, forward-thinking department and expand your clinical skills?
We have fantastic opportunities for staff who have completed their basic rotations or who are looking to enhance their existing clinical knowledge within inpatient Orthopaedics.
We pride ourselves on supporting staff with strong team and department structures and morale. We offer specialist clinical training, non-clinical training, student training, and support for external courses. You will be supported by Team Leaders and Senior peers, and we maintain superb working relationships with our Consultants and Ward Teams. Our clinical staff are involved in Trust-level clinical and non-clinical projects and have opportunities to drive service development, audit, and evidence-based practice.
Main Duties of the Job
This dynamic high-profile team is at the forefront of pathway redesign and leads in case management and discharge planning for elective and trauma patients. The Royal Surrey is a Trauma Unit where Physiotherapists manage and fit hard collars and other spinal orthoses. We also provide routine elective surgery and have an Orthogeriatric-led fracture neck of femur service. Patients are initially seen within the acute Trust and then moved to a subacute site for further rehabilitation.
Flexible working is required as the service operates over 7 days and bank holidays on a roster system.
