CNCMachinist, Weymouth, £27 per hour
Purpose
As a CNCMachinist, you will play a key role in producing precision-engineered components to meet exact customer specifications. Operating in a dynamic manufacturing environment, you will set and operate CNCs, inspect your own work, and contribute to maintaining high-quality standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills while working with advanced tools and techniques in a highly specialised field.
The company has both day and night shifts available.
Day Shift - £18 per hour
Night Shift - £18 X 1.5 (4 day week)

Responsibilities
As a CNCMachinist, your responsibilities will include:
1. Setting and operating CNC machines, some equipped with live tooling.
2. Conducting in-process and final inspections using tools such as verniers, micrometers, SPGs, and PPGs.
3. Maintaining total process control through regular inspections.
4. Manufacturing components to customer specifications and quality standards based on engineering drawings.
5. Recording, maintaining, and updating manufacturing process details on job cards.
6. Carrying out preventative maintenance schedules for machines.
7. Keeping the work environment safe, clean, and organized in line with 5S principles.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this CNC Machinist role, your skills and experience will include:
1. Proficiency in using Fanuc/Heidenhain control systems.
2. Experience in aerospace manufacturing or a similar high-precision industry (preferred).
3. Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and job cards.
4. Skilled in setting and operating various machine tools.
5. Strong PC literacy and a methodical approach to work.
