Full job description
From initial assessment, you will be responsible and accountable for devising, reviewing, and completing appropriate treatment management programs for the patient population, in order to gain successful clinical outcomes, in line with your regulatory body's standards of professional practice.
You must be able to demonstrate:
1. Excellent assessment and clinical reasoning skills within a variety of musculoskeletal, orthopedic, rheumatology, and general health conditions.
2. Highly developed differential diagnostic skills to ensure patients are managed safely, efficiently, and effectively.
3. Good communication skills with a variety of people and conditions, especially in demanding situations.
4. Clear evidence of team working and the ability to develop effective and efficient services.
5. Experience of electronic patient records and telephone triage (advantageous).
6. Ability to direct the care pathway for your patients autonomously, including assessment and diagnostics, provision of diagnosis, appropriate self-care advice, or onward referral as indicated.
7. Familiarity with the IRMER, when and which diagnostics are suitable, and confidence in explaining their use and implications to patients.
8. Injection trained, or willing to undertake this.
9. Commitment to the role with a strong desire to continually improve as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist, developing a culture that improves quality by initiating, promoting, and monitoring systems which govern and improve quality.
You will be joining a friendly team with other physiotherapists who can offer:
1. Varied caseload with patients from primary and secondary care.
2. Opportunities to develop clinical reasoning skills with our triage team for both online self-referral and single point of access patients.
3. Opportunities to assist with student education, from lecturing to supervising students on clinical placement.
4. A structured and advanced in-service training program.
5. Regular formal and informal supervision to monitor and help you achieve your goals and aspirations within Physiotherapy.
