The Council is seeking Casual Emergency Rest Centre Support Officers who can welcome residents of Colchester who have been evacuated from their homes into an Emergency Rest Centre and provide them with a safe place to shelter until they can return to their homes.
Duties of the role
As an essential member of the Emergency Rest Centre Support Officer team, you will be responsible for:
1. Greeting individuals and advising them of welfare facilities.
2. Offering refreshments as they arrive at the centre.
3. Issuing the Rest Centre Information Leaflet to individuals.
Qualifications and skills required
To be successful in this role, you will need to be good with people who are going through a difficult time and have experience in working in a challenging environment.
