We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor working on substation and power projects valued between £30m and £70m. Based in Potters Bar, this role offers hybrid working and a competitive day rate outside IR35.
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a senior commercial role in a major power infrastructure programme. You will lead cost management and contract administration, ensuring the successful delivery of high-value substation projects. Hybrid working allows flexibility across site, office, and home.
Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
1. Take full commercial responsibility for substation and power projects.
2. Manage project budgets, valuations, and cost reporting.
3. Lead contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with NEC contracts.
4. Oversee risk management and commercial strategy.
5. Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
1. Extensive experience in power, utilities, or major infrastructure projects.
2. Strong knowledge of NEC contract frameworks.
3. Excellent commercial awareness and leadership skills.
4. Strong IT proficiency, including cost management software.
5. Ability to work effectively across hybrid working environments.
