WHAT TO EXPECT
Join our Supply Chain Operations team as a Senior Packaging Analyst!
This is an opportunity to come and be part of a team dedicated to creating innovative, eco-friendly packaging solutions, that combine creativity with sustainability.
The role will work closely with wider departments in JLR, such as our Industrial Operations and Digital teams, to identify synergies and drive simplicity and alignment in the process for JLR and its suppliers, scoping requirements for any deliverables as required, including applications such as Planning & Operational Data Solutions.
You will also look to capture and record any non-conformance costs to help deliver supplier recharge and recover cost into JLR where inbound deliveries do not meet the agreed standard, as well as documenting benefit realisation from the process implementation.
The role will be predominantly based at JLR’s Mercia Park facility but with some travel to other JLR sites. Travel to Supplier sites may also be required.
Key accountabilities & responsibilities
As Senior Packaging Analyst, you will be responsible for the process definition and continuous improvement, implementation, and ongoing administration & governance of Supplier Packaging management for JLR’s inbound supply chain.
Further duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Govern process coverage, planning for and reducing gaps.
• Track and monitor costs and benefits in line with project deliverables.
• Drive down vendor-packed non-conformance to increase efficiency and enable cost recovery of remaining non-conformances.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:
• Understanding of packaging operations and Supply Chain processes.
• Highly competent with MS packages including Excel, Access and PowerPoint is essential.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills. Able to construct, manipulate and interpret complex data, and to make recommendations on this analysis.
• Understands the importance of product quality and balance to cost.
• Team supervisor/management and workload planning experience.
