As a Cable Jointer, you will be responsible for underground cable laying, jointing, terminations and connections to substations. LV/HV from 400V up to 33KV. You will have a strong understanding of cable jointing techniques, safety procedures, and industry standards. You need to be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments. Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environmental conditions is paramount. There is an expectation that you are willing to travel within the role and work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts, when required. Requirements: Essential: Existing DNO/IDNO authorisations Technical Training in Jointing & Terminations. Proven experience as a Cable Jointer in the electrical industry Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to cable jointing and electrical work. Certificate in Non-licensed asbestos removal Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to cable jointing and electrical work. Proficiency in the use of tools and equipment for cable jointing. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Valid UK Driving Licence required. Desirable: Emergency First Aid at Work Experience working with a variety of cable types and voltages. Responsibilities: Install, joint, and terminate high and low voltage power cables (e.g., LV, 11kV, 33kV), according to project specifications and safety standards. Complete required documentation accurately and promptly, including job reports and work orders. Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution.
