Forklift Field Service Engineer (Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician)
Working Hours: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
Starting Salary: £31,000 - £36,000

The Forklift Field Service Engineer role is available in a highly successful and international manufacturer of forklift trucks. You’ll enjoy being mobile with comprehensive training, an extensive benefits package, and progression routes.
This role is suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment. It is also a great career opportunity for vehicle technicians looking to move into a new industry as the company will fully train you. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally with engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.
As part of a team, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts and associated equipment in Leicester. No stay away or extensive travel is required. Overtime is available if desired, mostly during the week.
The Forklift Field Service Engineer Role in Brief:
1. Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
2. Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
3. Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment
4. Spares placed in van overnight
The Person Required:
1. Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable
2. Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills
3. Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
