The Opportunity: Our client is seeking a Junior Trader/Sales Representative to join their team. What Our Client Is Looking For: People Person: Comfortable engaging with clients both on the phone and in person. You’ll be building relationships with customers and suppliers, so strong communication skills are a must. Numerically Strong: You’ll be handling orders, managing stock levels, and analysing data, so comfort with numbers is key to success in this role. Fast-Moving & Adaptable: Our client is looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited by the opportunity to work in the fresh produce industry, where every day brings something new. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using computers and standard office software, with a strong working knowledge of Excel and the ability to quickly learn new systems. Knowledge of CRM or inventory management systems is a plus, but not essential. Key Responsibilities: Trading & Sales Support: Assist with buying and selling fresh produce, ensuring you meet customer needs while maximizing profit. You’ll be learning the ropes of the trading process and how to negotiate with both suppliers and customers. Customer Liaison: Build relationships with non-retail customers, such as food service businesses, wholesalers, and other B2B clients. Answer inquiries, process orders, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Order & Stock Management: Support with order creation, managing stock levels, and ensuring accurate inventory control to meet customer demand. Delivery Coordination: Work with logistics to ensure that fresh produce is delivered on time and in the best condition. Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, including creating purchase orders, invoicing, and keeping records of transactions. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with other teams within the company to ensure smooth operations from order to delivery and handle any queries that arise.
