About the Role As a Computing and Business Studies Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that develop students’ understanding of computer science, ICT and business principles. You will inspire learners to explore technological advancements, entrepreneurship and financial literacy, equipping them with essential skills for their future careers. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in Computing and Business Studies, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum. Foster critical thinking, problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills in students. Use innovative teaching methodologies to enhance learning and student engagement. Integrate real-world business case studies and technological applications into lessons. Monitor student progress and provide targeted support and feedback to enhance achievement. Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that caters to diverse student needs. Contribute to curriculum development and collaborate with colleagues on department initiatives. Support students with coursework, exam preparation and career guidance related to computing and business. Computing and Business Studies Teacher requirements: A qualified teacher status (QTS) is a must. A degree in Computing, Business Studies, or a related subject. Proven experience teaching Computing, ICT and/or Business Studies at the secondary level. Strong knowledge of the Computing and Business Studies curriculum and assessment requirements. Proficiency in delivering lessons that incorporate digital tools, programming and business concepts. A passion for developing students’ technological and commercial understanding. Excellent classroom management and the ability to inspire and motivate learners. Strong communication and organisational skills, with a commitment to continuous professional development. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
