Position Summary:
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies.
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
* Control production activities, material flow, and inventory to achieve cost and quality targets and production schedules of the assigned production line(s), ensuring compliance with standards.
* Improve and maintain current systems or create brand new projects.
* Apply engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.
* Provide guidance to and/or oversee the work of other engineers and/or technicians.
* Work under minimal supervision, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
* Work directly with mold makers to address mold issues and improvements.
* Collaborate with injection molding suppliers for repairs and maintenance.
Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
* Advanced knowledge of professional field and industry.
* Demonstrated expertise within an engineering specialty area.
* Knowledge of GMPs and cGMP manufacturing.
* Ability to effectively influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Strong communication, attention to detail, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Preferred Requirements
* Experience in a plastics manufacturing environment (extrusion, injection molding, blow molding).
* Experience in injection molding tooling design is a plus.
* Hands-on experience with molding operations applying scientific molding concepts.
* Working knowledge of polymer material properties and related topics.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer, or Plastics Engineering or related discipline.
Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc
Required:
* Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
* 6-8 years related experience.
Desired:
* Master’s degree in related field preferred.
* Applicable industry certification preferred.
Physical Demands:
* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Compensation details: $98,221 - $122,776 Yearly Salary
