Our Sourcing & Costing team in Vietnam is growing! We are looking for a Senior Footwear Costing Lead for Light Spray, Innovation and Chemical Compounds. You will play a key role in shaping the cost structure of groundbreaking materials and processes. You will push boundaries, challenge conventional costing methods, and work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to unlock cost-effective and scalable solutions for innovative technologies.

Your Mission
1. Develop and implement forward-thinking costing strategies for Light Spray applications, Innovation projects and Chemical compounds. Challenge traditional costing models and propose unconventional approaches that drive efficiency and competitiveness. Provide cost breakdowns and scenario planning that empower smart decision making in Creation & Product developments.
2. Identify cost opportunities by thinking beyond standard cost drivers with consideration of sustainability, process efficiencies, and alternative materials. Collaborate with the Innovation team to assess the financial viability of cutting-edge technologies, ensuring cost is not a blocker but an enabler of innovation. Actively seek disruptive ideas and challenge existing industry norms to create cost advantages.
3. Lead Cost discussions with suppliers for new materials and processes, ensuring fair and transparent cost structures. Build strong partnerships with key suppliers to co-develop cost-effective and high-performing materials. Engage suppliers to explore new ways of optimizing costs without compromising quality or innovation.
4. Partner with Innovation, R&D and Material teams to create solutions that balance creativity, feasibility, and cost efficiency. Influence internal stakeholders by presenting compelling cost models and business cases that support risk-taking in innovation. Work closely with the production team to drive cost governance and evaluate cost implications of different manufacturing approaches.
5. Stay ahead of industry trends, new material technologies, and pricing shifts in the market. Continuously explore new opportunities and unconventional cost-optimization opportunities. Benchmark against best practices across industries beyond footwear to bring fresh perspectives.
Your Story
1. Bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting, or engineering; and a passion for numbers and value engineering.
2. 7+ years' experience working at a premium footwear brand, with technical experience and knowledge of product construction and manufacturing methods. Ability to travel (EU & Asia).
3. Strong background in costing for chemical compounds, spray applications, or innovative materials.
4. Critical thinking skills and the ability to challenge the status quo and drive costing projects collaboratively.
5. Creative thinker who can break traditional costing barriers and explore new possibilities.
6. Excellent commercial sense and a very analytical mindset.
7. Advanced project management skills with storytelling ability. Proficiency in Excel and PPT.
8. Strong price negotiation skills and impeccable integrity.
9. Ability to motivate/guide a team to reach individual and team goals. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a fast-paced, cross-cultural, and cross-functional environment.
10. Fluent in English spoken and written.
