We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to manage the housekeeping team at our 28-bedroom hotel, Orchid Hotel in Epsom. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards in guest rooms and public areas, overseeing equipment maintenance, and managing inventory control.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise, mentor and recruit housekeeping staff
* Assign daily tasks and ensure all areas of the hotel are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards
* Conduct regular audits to ensure cleanliness and adherence to established procedures
* Manage and coordinate the inventory of housekeeping supplies, linen, and equipment
* Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally
* Maintain a working knowledge of health and safety regulations and ensure compliance within the department
* Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
* Monitor and control departmental expenses within budgetary guidelines
* Any other work as assigned by senior management
* Ensuring that any maintenance issue is reported on time to the maintenance department.
Requirements
* In-depth knowledge of cleaning procedures, hotel operations, and health & safety standards.
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within the housekeeping department
* Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues with tact and professionalism.
* Proficient in basic computer skills, including MS Office and housekeeping management systems.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
