Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Flooring Salesperson to join our dynamic flooring team. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to assist customers during their order process and helping them find the flooring to meet their needs. Your friendly and approachable demeanor, combined with your excellent communication and sales skills, will contribute to the overall success of our flooring department. The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week at our Hedge End branch. Actual hours will be discussed at the interview stage.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring all customers visiting the department are welcomed on arrival
* Assessing customer requirements and establishing their needs
* Maximising flooring sales within the department
* Working together as a team
* Keeping track of the measure appointment diary
* Contacting customers by phone and email with any updates
* Keeping the department in immaculate order
* Having up-to-date knowledge of current carpet and flooring ranges, as well as preparation materials
* Ensuring that customer satisfaction remains high
* Other tasks associated with flooring as and when required
Qualifications and Skills:
* Flooring sales experience is preferred
* Good time management
* Ability to work well using your own initiative as well as under instruction
* A calm and pleasant demeanor in person and via telephone
* Computer literate with knowledge of the MS Office package
* Ability to quickly learn and retain knowledge
* Capability to work under pressure and multi-task
* The capacity to see a project through from start to finish
