Role:
Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a Primary School in Blackburn, who are looking to source an enthusiastic Primary Practitioner to work alongside the class teacher in the Year 2 class. The position is to start after the Christmas half term and will be full time, 5 days a week. This role is available due to a gap in staffing therefore will be for the remainder of the academic year with the view to being extended further. The Head Teacher is looking for an individual who would be confident supporting groups of lower attaining pupils in the Year 2 class. The role will involve delivering planned intervention sessions in Maths, English and Phonics in a morning and then general support in an afternoon.

The School is an average sized mainstream primary school which is easily accessible. There is a strong Senior Leadership Team within the school, and the Headteacher is focused on ensuring all pupils receive the best education possible. Pupils enjoy attending school and staff feel well supported. The School do have a strong and consistent behaviour policy which is used effectively to ensure all the children work to their potential and no disruptive behaviour can affect this.
Requirements for the role:
* CACHE Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Minimum grade C in English & Maths at GCSE (or equivalent)
* Experience leading interventions particularly Maths and English
* Experience supporting children within Key Stage 2

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
