Framework is excited to announce the launch of our new Supported Accommodation Service for young people in Nottingham City, and we are looking for enthusiastic and empathetic Support Workers to join our experienced and established team. About the Role The Nottingham City Young Peoples Accommodation Service will consist of two core buildings, with staff on-site 24 hours a day, alongside smaller semi-independent properties located within the city. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping vulnerable, homeless young people, aged between 16 and 21, to build on their existing skills to live independently and maximise their potential. You will be providing support across both the core services and through regular visits to young people living in the community. Shifts will be carried out at the core service, with opportunities to engage with the young people in their own independent living spaces. Key Responsibilities Provide practical and emotional support to young people, helping them build the skills they need to live independently. Support young people in a trauma-informed and person-centred manner, ensuring their emotional, psychological, and physical needs are met. Develop trusting relationships and offer guidance to empower young people and help them achieve positive outcomes. Create and maintain a psychologically informed environment that nurtures trust and promotes self-efficacy. Assist with risk assessments, support plans, and reviews, ensuring the safety and well-being of all young people. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including leaving care workers, housing officers, and other professionals. About You We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and making a difference in their lives. You will have: An ability to build rapport easily with young people A strong understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches. Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A proactive approach to problem-solving and resilience in the face of challenging situations.
