Our roles
We’re growing and our Genus Team are keen to hear from accountants that have experience in management accounts with an active interest in cloud-based software.
Our Genus team is a unique accountancy service that enables clients to achieve their goals by filling gaps within their financial knowledge and providing information that enables clients to make better business decisions.
Your role will consist of bookkeeping, preparing Management Accounts, VAT returns and Year End accounts. As well as assisting with software projects, which can be anything from Xero (and add-on) conversions to providing training to clients and using Power BI to perform data analytics.
Our teams are based out of our Sheffield and Chesterfield offices, and we have flexible, hybrid working arrangements.
What we need from you
Ideally you will:
* Have achieved AAT (or equivalent)
* Have achieved or studying towards an ACA or ACCA qualification, however we would also consider candidates qualified by experience
* Have a minimum of 2 to 3 years practice experience
* Have an interest in accounting software and processes
* Be a confident and collaborative team player
* Passionate about providing a great service to our clients
* Have self-motivation and a strong work ethic
* Be organised and able to prioritise
We understand that not everyone will come with these exact requirements. If your experience isn’t a complete match, we encourage you to apply so that we can learn more about you!
What we can give you in return

We know, that whilst we look after our clients well, we also look after our team; their welfare and development are equally important.
