As Transportation Operations Manager, you will play a key role in driving the performance, innovation and reliability of our Transportation teams, working cross-functionally with teams across the entire Amazon business. Our transportation network is complex, but with your drive and dedication we will achieve continuous improvement through our Carrier partners, Network design teams, improved demand planning & capacity management, volume allocation between air & ground, first mile scheduling, middle mile on time performance, and last mile injection.
Key job responsibilities
1. Co-ordinate 3P last mile High Volume Events planning, playing a key connector role between the 3P last mile team and other E2E Ops teams (Amazon Logistics, EU events, Transportation planning and forecasting)
2. Identify key risks and mitigation actions for High volume events
3. Build/Improve processes and mechanisms to drive continuous improvement in the way we do the annual volume plan and define our last mile strategy
4. Drive root-cause analysis and the successful implementation of corrective actions in order to course correct volume trajectory deviations
5. Drive innovation by taking ownership of new projects and delivering them with success across multiple functions.
Minimum Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree
2. Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
3. Experience in program or project management
4. Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
5. Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
6. Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
7. Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
8. Experience leading process improvements
9. Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
10. Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
