Household name Plc seeks to recruit a commercial lawyer to work within a busy legal department. Our client can consider full or part-time working. This is a hybrid role Responsibilities Undertaking a broad general commercial position advising the business and drafting/negotiating a range of contracts which can be very complex. However, you could also specialise in on a key area such as project finance, technology or data privacy. Work could involve some of the following: Negotiating, drafting and advising on a range of contracts including supply of goods and services, JV, R&D, IT, IP or construction Advice on data sharing and processing including GDPR Corporate matters arising from assets and statutory functions including project or asset finance Overseeing commercial disputes Support to cutting edge projects including renewables Regulatory oversight including changes in the law Supporting colleagues where needed with other commercial matters Mentoring more junior staff Conducting internal training We are looking for: A UK qualified solicitor or barrister with at least of 2 years PQE but ideally more Well regarded law firm or inhouse experience, preferably within a similar sector (infrastructure/construction/energy/utilities/engineering) Strong drafting and negotiation skills Strong interpersonal, commercial and team skills Confident and able to work with senior management Package on offer: Attractive base salary Bonus Pension to 14% Holidays to 38 including bank Health cover Shae save scheme Discounted childcare and gym membership Generous maternity/paternity and adoption benefits This is the opportunity to work as part of a large friendly and supportive legal team with the structure and career development you would expect of a leading PLC business.
