As the Apprenticeship and Learning Manager you will work closely with the Education, Learning and Development Lead to ensure the seamless management and monitoring of our apprenticeship programmes, maximising the opportunities of the apprenticeship levy.
You will be self-motivated with a passion for developing others, with previous experience in a similar role and have a comprehensive understanding of apprenticeship provision.
This role involves setting up new apprentice programmes, supporting managers and staff throughout this process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and excellent service delivery including taking a facilitative approach when queries/issues arise.
We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent organisation and written and verbal communication skills to manage the multiple elements of this work.

Main duties of the job
You will build on existing Apprenticeship and Vocational Learning programmes and work to continuously grow these opportunities in CWP.
The main areas of this role include managing apprenticeship programme provision, sourcing, promoting and co-ordinating providers and programmes, analysing data and monitoring/evaluating and developing reports, driving continuous improvements.
Being a point of contact and subject matter expert for Apprenticeships is an important aspect of this role, You will be a key contact for staff, Managers and education providers and will be expected to work in partnership with colleagues across the region, which requires excellent communication skills and ability to problem solve, sometimes in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to the provision of a customer focussed, quality driven and responsive service.
You will line manage the Apprenticeship and Learning Officer.
You will liaise with stakeholders such as training providers and other apprenticeship coordinators across the North West to develop programme opportunities and learn and share best practice.
You will have excellent IT skills and an eye for detail alongside managing your own workload, making decisions and proactively engaging staff in order to deliver outcomes.

1. Educated to degree level
2. Postgraduate degree or a willingness to complete postgraduate apprenticeship programme commensurate with role
3. Degree level education or equivalent acquired through experience/other

7. Detailed understanding and expertise of structure of vocational learning within England, including structure of Apprenticeships and qualifications
8. Expert knowledge of Apprenticeship funding rules/regulations and the national DAS system
9. Knowledge of current apprenticeship landscape and ESFA funded learning
10. Understanding the principles of commissioning training interventions
11. Understanding of performance management within a learning function
12. Knowledge of learning and development approaches/methods
13. Knowledge of NHS procurement procedures
