We're on a mission to build something unique and special in the U.K. Esquires Shirley will be opening in February 2025 and we have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Shift Manager to help us deliver this.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Shift Manager to play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our business. Your mission will be to deliver an exceptional menu and inspire your team to provide excellent customer service. As a manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the restaurant's revenue, profitability, and quality goals. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, maintaining high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards in accordance with our service codes. You will also be entrusted with opening and closing the store and preparing for the following day's operations.
To thrive in this role, strong interpersonal skills and experience in both front and back-of-house operations are essential. We expect you to expertly oversee the shop floor, engage with customers, and manage seating capacity. Back-of-the-house management is equally important, as you will be responsible for setting work schedules, supervising food preparation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Leading by example and providing support to your team during busy moments in our fast-paced environment will be key to your success. Ultimately, your dedication will ensure the seamless functioning of our restaurant and leave customers with amazing experiences. Above all, your contribution will help create a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere for both customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Open and close the store with precision and attention to detail
2. Effectively prioritise work demands to meet objectives
3. Serve as the point of escalation for internal and external customer queries, resolving issues with efficiency and professionalism
4. Provide support in managing both full-time and part-time staff, ensuring a cohesive and motivated team
5. Maintain exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards
6. Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
7. Oversee cash handling procedures and reconcile sales
8. Collaborate with the management team to implement marketing initiatives
9. Conduct training sessions to enhance staff skills and knowledge
10. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high morale
11. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance customer experiences
