Responsibilities:
* Provide1:1 and small group academic and emotional support to students withcomplex needs.
* Assist teachers in adaptinglearning materials and strategies to meet the needs of SENstudents.
* Monitor student progress andcommunicate regularly with teachers SENCOs andparents.
* Foster positive relationships withstudents encouraging their social and emotionaldevelopment.
* Help students develop essentialskills including problemsolving resilience andselfregulation.
* Collaborate with externalagencies and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for eachstudent.
Experience andQualifications:
* Experienceworking with children or young people with special educationalneeds particularly those with complex needs isessential.
* Strong interpersonal skills and theability to build positive relationships with students parents andstaff.
* A patient compassionate and flexibleapproach to supporting students with varyingneeds.
* Relevant qualifications in education orchild development (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification)are desirable.
* A DBS check isrequired.
