MECHANICAL INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN – WATER TECHNOLOGIES
SITE BASED WITH TRAVEL (SCOTLAND)
What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Installation Technician to join the team with Lintott, who are part of the Galliford Try Group.
In the role of Mechanical Installation Technician, you’ll be installing, manufacturing or modifying mechanical and process equipment, predominately within the Water and Wastewater industry. You will be responsible for the efficient installation of quality mechanical systems and installations as per supplied designs.
Day to day, you’ll undertake fault finding tasks and rectifying faults as required. Part of your role will be to liaise with and communicate with our stakeholders, as well as record any relevant data and photographic evidence from site for on-site report forms.
Whilst on site, you’ll take care of assuring all works are carried out in a safe, sensible and timely manner, supervising and coordinating contractor activities and ensuring the planning of works for site requirements, optimising materials and efficiency to ensure the works meet the standards required.
You’ll be responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself and others, encouraging a safe and collaborative working environment that supports our Health, Safety and Environment culture.
About You:
* Relevant or similar mechanical installation experience including site-based works within a customer-based or customer focused environment.
* Able to understand and work from design drawings and detail to undertake installations to a high standard of quality & efficiency.
* Health and Safety awareness.
* Verbal & written communication skills.
* Apprenticeship served in a relevant mechanical discipline.
* City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 & 3 qualification in a relevant mechanical discipline.
