We have a fantastic opportunity for a Gas Markets Change Analyst to join our Gas Market Development Team and help us to develop our gas expertise.
In this role you will provide insights, recommendations and analysis to develop NESO led changes through to implementation, as well as support wider Industry engagement and represent NESO at Industry change meetings.
As a Gas Markets Change Analyst, you will provide insight to the Gas Market Change Manager and wider NESO teams in UNC change, as well as work on the development of Hydrogen, Biomethane and other energy sources.
This role can be based from Wokingham, Warwick or Glasgow and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

1. Is passionate about gas industry regulations, ensuring they are fit for purpose, future proofed and robust.
2. Understands the gas market and associated frameworks - including an understanding of the regulatory environment, key industry players, and the long-term trends affecting the industry.
3. Has experience of the regulatory change process.
4. Is strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.

A competitive salary between £45000-£74000 p.a. - dependent on experience and capability.

Key Accountabilities
1. Represent NESO at industry meetings providing Gas industry expertise.
2. Provide high-quality, methodical, and researched analysis and insight to support the Gas Market team in the development of Code Change.
3. Support Managers and Senior Managers in the analysis of market trends and dynamics (including evaluating social, political, technological, economic, and environmental insights) to support the development of a long-term view for NESO.
4. Conduct detailed analysis, benchmarking and collate positions to inform NESO's senior leadership, market players, Ofgem, etc., in respect of the UK's gas market - this includes supporting in the provision of regular market updates, identifying key trends and drivers, and creating analysis that supports strategic decision making.
5. Project manage/lead key work assignments related to the important questions that underpin the development of a gas market perspective - keep senior colleagues informed on progress, reporting findings as necessary, and translating such work into meaningful insights that shape future strategy development.
6. Undertake ad hoc projects and initiatives as requested by senior NESO Leadership.
