About the Role:
As a Supervisor, you will play a critical role in managing and delivering highway maintenance works across Surrey. You will ensure all activities are carried out to the highest quality standards, within budget, and in alignment with health, safety, and environmental regulations. This is a hands-on leadership role, providing day-to-day supervision of operatives and ensuring works are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, manage, and oversee highway maintenance works, ensuring timely delivery.
* Supervise and support operational teams on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and work specifications.
* Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project plans.
* Liaise with stakeholders, including the client, the public, and internal teams, to address concerns and provide updates.
* Accurately record and report on completed works, including cost, value, and performance data.
* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with Ringway's safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles on-site, escalating as necessary.
* Provide feedback and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the reactive maintenance service.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within highways maintenance or a similar operational environment.
* Strong understanding of reactive maintenance processes and best practices.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction or highways maintenance.
* IT proficiency, including the use of work management systems for reporting and recording.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
* Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Surrey.
