Our clinet is a market-leader in data, analytics and market intelligence. The firm is quite a success story; I started working them in 2009 when they were a start-up of 50 people. They 10x’ed and became a global leader in data and benchmarking, taking over the mantle from McKinsey and Oliver Wyman. Over the years I’ve hired in many ex traders, salespeople and strategy consultants from major banks and consulting firms. The bar is high, though they offer a great work-life balance which is very different to a large bank; you are trusted to work your own hours (within reason) in an entrepreneurial environment. This role works with the ‘voice of client’ and wallets products teams. There is a ‘total wallet spend’ for the transactional banking sector and they builds strategy insights and data on trends and client activity. The VofC product was formed in 1972 and is a market leader; this role will give the candidate access to unparalleled data and insights. The team is circa 20 people globally with additional delivery resources in India. The role works with the firm’s top European banking clients; you will be pitching and building relationships with Heads of Cash Management, Heads of Trade Finance and other senior leaders in the TB space. The firm works with all the major players already (this is not a sales role); it is a partnership/consultative model. You will also build your brand across the industry, attending conferences and building a cross-sector view of the market. As a Senior hire, you will lead and ‘own’ many of these relationships over time. The Head of the TB practice is looking for someone to take over the running of all EU relationships within a timeframe. We are looking for someone that is comfortable working with data, can present to senior stakeholders whilst having a passion for constantly learning and developing their skills. Imagine a project where you present a deck on competitive positioning to the European Head of Cash Management at a top-5 bank; that person will critique and push back on your analysis…you will need to hold the room and have confidence in your abilities to work at this level. This type of role, with this type of exposure, is not found in many consulting firms. We are looking for: 8 years’ experience in the TB industry, ideally as part of a strategy consulting team or banks’ internal project/sales/delivery teams Exceptional presentation skills, both in terms of producing material and presenting it Comfort working with data and analysing data sets Entrepreneurial thinking; ability to develop new consulting modules and capabilities for the team/group Build thought leadership material such as White Papers and marketing material to drive forward initiatives Support the banking teams in its evolution of new products and services, especially in relation to TB Ability to conceive new business ideas and bring them to life in a profitable way The firm operates a hybrid model though would expect 3-4 days in the office per week in Year 1. We are lookjing for 2 people; one more junior and one more senior for this team. Salary range 70-105,000 base 20-40% bonus.
