Our Doggerbank OFW site is looking for an EHS Leader. This is a critical role to provide day to day technical EHS guidance and support successful EHS management across the site. You will be responsible for a team of site-based resources and will partner closely with the operational team and cross functionally to ensure that EHS is embedded into the daily operating rhythm and are proactive in building a safety-first culture. You will also provide input and support to the wider EHS team as we work to build one successful EHS team. This role requires deep knowledge and experience of EHS regulations applicable to Offshore wind operations, and familiarity with GE products and customers. Job Description Essential Responsibilities • Manages and coordinates a broad spectrum of activities simultaneously. • Lead a team of site based EHS resources. • Serves as an EHS expert for applicable regulatory and industry standard requirements. • Able to complete work activity with a cross-functional team to ensure site specific EHS plans and associated requirements are developed, implemented, and maintained. • Ensure compliance and coordinate with the Site Leadership to ensure the implementation of both GE and legislative EHS expected programs and training requirements. • Able to proactively partner and develop positive working relationships with customers, external agencies and contractors as well as internal cross-functional personnel. • Deliver and where necessary support development of EHS training, including maintaining records of competency and training completion. • Drive EHS performance to support Key Performance Indicators in line with business expectation. • Meet and maintaining reporting expectations, both internal and external. • Conduct audits and inspections and managing any third party EHS inspections, following the expectation laid out by GE, including on-time closure of audit findings. • Promote a positive EHS culture, with all personnel, including third parties and support implementation of EHS incentive programs, as well as Just and Fair Cause process. • Be engaged in all areas of site operation and be able to problem solve with Lean and digitization tools to drive process improvement and remove or reduce risk on site. • Supports all other demands as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or technical equivalent from an accredited college or university, or equivalent qualification. • Certified Environmental or Health and Safety professional. • Relevant EHS experience in a professional EHS role overseeing the execution of EHS in projects or services environment. • Significant experience and demonstrated achievements with safety programs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. • Able to coach and support key influencers to drive EHS compliance and the reduction of risk through team engagement and help develop an organizational culture that prioritizes EHS. • Knowledge of EHS management systems and EHS standards. • Fluent English (verbally & in writing). • Medical fitness and ability to work at height and offshore according to local/national requirements. • On-site based role, with travel more broadly as required.
