Location: Derbyshire
Salary: £400- £550 per week (dependent on qualifications and recent experience)
About the role
Connex Education is in partnership with a vibrant Primary School within the Derbyshire area to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant providing 1:1 support on a regular relief cover basis starting in March. You will have strong teamwork skills as the school focuses on collaboration to achieve student and school goals. This school is at the heart of a thriving community, and you will need to meet high standards and ambitious expectations alongside staff and governors. A key ethos of this school is to ensure all learners receive focused support for excellent progress.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inclusive classroom setting. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional development of each child. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with diverse needs.

Person Specification
* Experience working in an educational environment with children aged 4 to 11 years
* Willingness to support on a 1:1 basis or work in small groups
* Behaviour management skills
* Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
* Organised and reliable
* Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to process a new one
* Willingness to go the extra mile!
