Electrical Test Engineer – Permanent Role – £21.50/hr – Newcastle
Location: Newcastle
Pay Rate: £21.50 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Role Overview:
As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and fault-finding on electrical systems and components to ensure compliance with safety standards and technical specifications. You'll be working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain high-quality outputs and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct functional and safety testing on electrical equipment and assemblies
* Diagnose and troubleshoot faults using schematics and test equipment
* Ensure all testing complies with relevant standards and company procedures
* Complete and maintain accurate test records and documentation
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the testing and production areas
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in electrical testing within a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
* A relevant electrical engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
