Location: Cambridge
Salary: £35,000 to £50,000 Basic Salary DOE + Overtime (1.5x – OTE £60,000 to £80,000) + Van (Can be used Personally) + 21 Days Holiday (Increase with Service – No Limit) + Bank Holidays + Healthcare Scheme
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 07:00 to 16:00 or 08:00 to 17:00 – Call Out Rota 1 Week in 5
Field Service Engineer required for a leading supplier of variable speed drives and support services. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a growing business that can offer ongoing training opportunities and competitive target earnings.
To apply for this role, you will be an electrically qualified engineer with experience working with variable speed drives. Candidates from any industry are encouraged to apply, and this role would suit either experienced field service engineers or maintenance engineers looking to move into a mobile position.
The successful candidate will be joining a growing team responsible for carrying out pre-planned services, breakdown repairs, and planned upgrades at customer sites. You will work within a variety of sectors including manufacturing, energy, and water industries.
For one week in five, this role will require the successful candidate to be on call 24/7. However, during this week, the candidate will be based at home and will be responsible for providing remote technical support and completing paperwork such as risk assessments.
The Field Service Engineer Role:
1. Working with variable speed drives and electric motors
2. Carry out service, repair, and upgrades
3. Typically working within a 1 hour – 1.5 hour radius of home
4. Occasional overnight stay
5. On call rota – 1 in 5 weeks
6. Regular overtime available
The Field Service Engineer Candidate:
1. Qualified electrical engineer
2. Experience working with variable speed drives
