Quality Coordinator (NIGHTS)
Lir Chocolates, Navan, County Meath, Ireland
Position type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 40
Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday, 14:00 - 12:30
Pay range: €14.00
Breaks: x1 30 minutes PAID, x1 30 minutes unpaid.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain audit standards across the site
* Ensure that Food Safety, Quality and Integrity is maintained throughout the production process at all times
* Carry out line audits to validate that the product quality matches the agreed QAS with all information correct and complete documentation on-line.
* Facilitate the Taste Panel process on site
* Complete scheduled GMP, and Hygiene Audits. Glass and Brittle Plastic and CCP audits are completed and involvement with the production team to ensure close out of issues and seek improvements to stop recurring issues.
* Ensure that all key food safety equipment is calibrated at the required frequency
* Initial raising of NCR’s and ensure all NCR’s are fully investigated, and actions are closed out with evidence and timelines where required.
* Ensure all Quality or Food Safety investigations are undertaken, and reports communicated into the Quality Manager
* Carry out post clean inspection, utilising ATP and allergen swabbing to verify clean.
* Filing of retained samples, archiving in a manner which ensures rapid access for complaints and audits.
* Ensure site micro testing for product and environmental swabs/water is completed and registered.
* Ensure all product and process batch paperwork is maintained. Follow up on out of specification batch records accordingly.
* Report all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate action
* Report all quality issues on the production floor to the Quality Manager.
* Ensure all ingredients are within their shelf life and batch rotation is adhered to.
* Ensure all hygiene rules are being adhered to by all staff members.
* Identify all training requirements to meet the quality standards.
* Follow up on out of specification batch records accordingly.
* Perform routine traceability checks.
* Verify bar-coding for all products.
* Ensure the allergen policy and procedures are being complied with.
* Implement, monitor and review corrective actions.
Qualifications:
* Good numerical skills and understanding of gap analysis
* Good knowledge of MS Office and databases
* Excellent communication skills
* Attention to detail is essential
* Reliable & trustworthy.
* Relevant experience in similar industry- Food/FMCG (desirable)
* Quality experience (Essential)
* To be flexible around the shift pattern
* Food Safety Level 1 or 2
* Allergen awareness
* Pest awareness
* GMP understanding
