As the Care Manager, you are part of the management team alongside the Home Manager to ensure that the Home is run as per the Manager's directives, maintaining a warm, supportive, happy environment for residents and their families and friends, while always acknowledging and respecting the residents' personal dignity, privacy, and individual rights.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm

* NVQ 5 in Health & Social Care (or actively studying towards it).
* Evidence of periodic training to update your knowledge, skills, and competence.
* Updated knowledge of current legislation, mandatory requirements, and key issues in the healthcare industry.
* Availability to work on-call within the management team.
As the home deputy safeguarding lead, you will have day-to-day responsibility for safeguarding across the home, including:
* Acting as a champion ambassador for the home in the capacity of adults at risk.
* Providing leadership on all aspects of safeguarding within the home.
* Advising volunteers and staff on safeguarding issues.
* Creating and maintaining residents' care plans and ensuring effective communication within the home.
* Reviewing care plans and risk assessments as per company requirements.
* Ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies to protect vulnerable people.
* Respecting residents' rights in line with the Human Rights Act and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
* Assessing residents prior to admission to ensure their needs can be met.
* Ensuring the complaints procedure is followed and complaints are managed positively.
* Ensuring staff recruitment follows a robust procedure in line with company policy.
