About the Role: As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be a key player in our client’s logistics operations, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods in and around London. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for operating a digital taco and holding a valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Key Responsibilities: Safe Vehicle Operation: Safely and efficiently operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle, complying with all relevant legislation and company policies. Conduct thorough daily vehicle inspections to ensure your vehicle remains in a safe, roadworthy condition and promptly report any defects or issues. Route Planning and Delivery: Efficiently plan your routes around London to ensure timely multi-drop deliveries and collections, maximising productivity while adhering to delivery schedules. Perform approximately 8-10 drops per shift, ensuring that goods are delivered promptly and in pristine condition. Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload goods, ensuring items are palletised, secured, and protected during transit to adhere to weight limits and safety standards. Documentation and Check-In/Check-Out System: Utilise the company’s check-in/check-out system for effective tracking and documentation of deliveries and returns. Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring that all required documentation is collected, signed, and filed correctly upon delivery or collection. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and store personnel, addressing and resolving any queries or issues professionally and promptly. Build positive relationships with clients and colleagues to enhance customer satisfaction and team dynamics. Vehicle Maintenance and Health & Safety: Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
