Ford & Stanley Talent Services Group, are currently on the lookout for a number of Electrical or Mechanical Engineers / Technicians to carry out maintenance on one of the largest fleets of trains in the UK, at one of the biggest depots in the south of the country. Due to a number of factors including internal promotions, retirements and growth in the business, a number of Technicians / FItters / Engineers are required to bolster the numbers at one of the most modern railway maintenance depots in the UK. Location: Reading Shifts: 8 days on. 8 days off. 7 nights on. 7 nights off Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience Role and Responsibilities Carry out mechanical or electrical maintenance on rolling stock vehicles Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines in a safety critical industry Carry out component overhaul and changeout Fault finding and fault rectification on various rolling stock systems Candidate Maintenance engineering experience of minimum 4 years Ideally some experience working in transportation maintenance (HGV / PSV / Ex Military / Car / Plant or Construction Equipment / Agricultural) Full UK Driving licence NVQ level 3 minimum in engineering discipline Experience of understanding schematics / engineering diagrams would be advantageous Likely Job Titles: Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, HGV Technician, Rolling Stock Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Electrical Engineer, Electrical Technician About Ford & Stanley Group Ford & Stanley Group are in the business of people and performance.
